Chhattisgarh Moves Ahead with 406.72-Acre Integrated Industrial Park Under BHAVYA
- State-Level Committee Approves Proposal for Submission to Government of India
Raipur, September 30, 2026/ Chhattisgarh has taken a significant step towards developing an Integrated Multi-Sector Industrial Park under the Bharat Industrial Development Scheme (BHAVYA). A meeting of the State-Level Committee, chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Vikasheel, was held at Mahanadi Bhawan, Mantralaya, today to discuss the proposal for the industrial park put forward by the Chhattisgarh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA).
During the meeting, details of the proposed project, including the Detailed Project Report (DPR), master plan, land availability, required infrastructure, estimated project cost, financial arrangements and operational guidelines under BHAVYA, were presented before the committee. Following the discussion, the committee approved the proposal for submission to the Government of India through the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
Industrial Park Proposed at Nava Raipur Atal Nagar
The Integrated Multi-Sector Industrial Park proposed by CRDA will be developed at Nava Raipur Atal Nagar in Raipur district. Spread over approximately 406.72 acres, the proposed park will have infrastructure and facilities required to support a range of industrial activities.
The project is envisaged as a multi-sector industrial development with the necessary infrastructure and facilities to support industrial operations and create an enabling environment for investment and economic activity.
Proposal to Be Submitted to DPIIT, Government of India
Following consideration by the State-Level Committee, the project proposal has been approved for submission to the Government of India. CRDA will now submit the proposal to DPIIT, Government of India, as per the prescribed procedure. Further action on the project will be taken after approval is received from the Government of India.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Urban Administration Department, Shri Sonmani Bora, Secretary Housing and Environment Department Shri Ankit Anand, Secretary Labour Department Shri Himshikhar Gupta, Managing Director CSIDC Shri Umesh Kumar Jha, Chief Executive Officer NRDA Nava Raipur Shri Chandan Kumar, and Collector Raipur who participated through video conference.
