Crime-prone Bilaspur district gets
IPS Rajnesh Singh as new SP.

// With sharp-witted Rajnesh Singh taking over as new SP, shivers to run up and down the spine of criminals and anti-social elements in Bilaspur district
// New SP outlines multi-mission focus, strategy and redressal approach for visible-policing by involving local citizens.
// Impetus on round-the-clock surveillance of crime-prone areas contributing to property and body offences in the district.

Rajnesh Singh, a 2012-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre officer of Chhattisgarh, today assumed his charge as new Superintendent of Police (SP) in Bilaspur district. Upon his joining, he was welcomed by other senior officials dotting the rank and file of Bilaspur police. Rajnesh Singh was also presented a ‘Guard of Honour.’

Earlier, before assuming charge of SP Bilaspur, IPS Rajnesh Singh visited famous Ratanpur Temple to pay his obeisance and offered prayer for peace and prosperity of Chhattisgarh state as well as Bilaspur district.

Reckoned as a very sharp-witted and staunch police officer, Rajnesh Singh, soon after his joining took a brief meeting of his district police officials and laid impetus on visible-policing by involving local citizens with multi-mission focus, strategy and redressal approach.

SP Singh, in particular, asked all the gazetted officers for swift preparation of a comprehensive draft of their respective police jurisdictions, underscoring key areas of problems to bring down crime graph while also reforms and initiatives aimed at maximising police-public connection.

Rajnesh Singh, who carries with him a vast experience of ground-level policing since he served at multiple capacities at multiple locations in Chhattisgarh, is also a tech-savvy officer. He asserted that all the crime-prone areas, which mostly contribute to property and body offences in the district, need to be brought under round-the-clock surveillance.

Singh, who earlier served as SP (ATS) in Intelligence for a considerable period of time, has a very robust and deeply-penetrated network of informers. Peer group officers of SP Rajnesh Singh attributed that the Bilaspur district, which had always witnessed spurt of crimes in recent and past, will now finally witness radical changes in policing. This will, indeed, help a lot to the law-abiding citizens for living with peace of mind, while shivers run up and down the spine of criminals and anti-social elements, since SP Singh always leads his men on the ground when it comes to enforce law.

His tenure of ASP City in Capital Raipur earned him accolades for his zero-tolerance on crime and criminals, while he also earned appreciation for his meticulous measures by reforming criminals into part of his local intelligence network. This helped him to crack and bust very high-profile and sensitive cases, including the sleeper cell network of banned outfits SIMI and IM in Chhattisgarh, when he was SP ATS.
