Meeting of State Advisory Committee of PCPNDT Act under the Chairmanship of Director, Health Services Mr. Bhim Singh

Raipur. 31 March 2023. A meeting of the State Advisory Committee for PCPNDT Act was held today under the chairmanship of Director Health Services Shri Bhim Singh. He also reviewed the implementation of ART/Surrogacy Act-2021 at Swasthya Bhawan, Nava Raipur today and gave necessary instructions. In the meeting, Joint Director of PCPNDT Act, Dr. Prashant Srivastava, Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Raipur, Dr. Jyoti Jaiswal, Head of Department of Pediatrics Dr. Onkar Prasad Khandwal, Professor of Radio Diagnosis Dr. Vivek Patre, Assistant Professor Dr. Preeti Satpathy, Deputy Director of Health Department, Dr. Mahendra Singh, Dr. R.K. Patel, Mrs. Hina Yasmin Khan, Deputy Secretary, Law Department, Mr. Prashant Kumar Bhargava and PCPNDT Consultant, Ms. Varsha Rajput were also present in the meeting.
The State Advisory Committee of the PCPNDT Act met and decided to draft rules for the next batch of six-month Sonography training under the Act. During the meeting, it was decided to take action against doctors who are not granted bond service after PG. The suggestion to provide gynecologists with three months of sonography training was also discussed.
It was decided at the ART/Surrogacy Act-2021 meeting to give registration certificates to centers found eligible following inspection and who have deposited the registration fee from the registration applications received. So far, the Act has registered 56 centers in the state, including 34 ART clinics, 10 ART banks, and 12 surrogacy clinics. The meeting decided that the applications would be inspected only when the registration fee was paid by April 1.
