Proposed gas-based fertiliser plant in Rajnandgaon to give new impetus to industrial development and employment: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai pays courtesy call on Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh, discusses Electronics Manufacturing Cluster 2.0 and other key development issues

Raipur, September 8, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday paid a courtesy call on Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh at his residence here. The two leaders held detailed discussions on GAIL (India) Limited’s proposed gas-based fertiliser plant in Rajnandgaon, the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster 2.0, and other issues related to the state’s industrial and economic development.

Shri Sai said the proposed plant would be an important project for the region’s industrial growth, generating fresh opportunities for local employment and self-employment besides giving a boost to ancillary industries and commercial activity. He added that it would boost economic activity in Rajnandgaon and neighbouring areas and further strengthen the state’s economy.

Chief Minister said the state government is working continuously to create a conducive environment for industry and attract investment, with emphasis on modern technology and high-value manufacturing. He described the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster 2.0 as a key initiative to position Chhattisgarh as an emerging hub for electronics and advanced manufacturing.

Shri Sai said coordinated efforts by the Central and state government has opened up new possibilities for major industrial projects and investment in the state. “Our endeavour is to ensure that investment coming into the state becomes a means of generating employment for local youth, promoting regional development and creating economic prosperity. The proposed fertiliser project in Rajnandgaon will also be an important step in this direction,” he said.
