Raipur, September 15, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has extended warm greetings and best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Nuakhai, a festival that welcomes the new harvest and expresses gratitude for nature’s preciousg gifts. On this occasion, the Chief Minister prayed for the happiness and prosperity of farmers, a bountiful harvest and the well-being of every family.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said Nuakhai is an important festival deeply rooted in rich agricultural traditions and folk culture. Celebrated to mark the arrival of the new harvest, the festival expresses gratitude towards nature, respect for grain and appreciation for the tireless hard work of farmers. The new crop produced in the fields is not merely the fruit of farmers’ labour but also a symbol of nature’s grace and the richness of our agrarian culture.
The Chief Minister said that in Chhattisgarh’s culture, farming is not merely a means of livelihood but an integral part of its social and cultural life. Many of the state’s festivals and traditions are deeply connected with the agricultural cycle, nature and folk life.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said Nuakhai inspires people to remain connected with their soil, their roots and their glorious traditions. The festival also strengthens social bonds, family unity and mutual harmony. When families and communities come together to share the joy of the new harvest, folk culture becomes even more vibrant and enriched.
On the auspicious occasion of Nuakhai, Chief Minister Shri Sai prayed that nature’s blessings may always remain upon Chhattisgarh. He wished that the fields of farmers remain lush green and abundant with crops, granaries remain full, and prosperity fill the homes and courtyards of farming families. He also prayed that every family in the state be blessed with happiness, peace, prosperity and well-being, and that mutual affection, brotherhood and harmony continue to grow stronger.
