“Bhagwan Shri Ram resides in every particle of Chhattisgarh’s soil”: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the grand musical Shri Ram Katha Mahotsav organised at Saliyatoli in Kunkuri, Jashpur district, on April 6. His wife, Smt. Kaushalya Sai was also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted the ideal life and character of Bhagwan Shri Ram and urged people to imbibe his values in their daily lives.
Paying respectful obeisance to the revered saint Shri Chinmayanand Bapuji seated on the Vyas Peeth, the Chief Minister said that the sacred land of Kunkuri has been truly blessed. He noted that the Saliyatoli stadium has transformed into a divine abode of Bhagwan Shri Ram through the spiritual narration, with the entire atmosphere resonating with chants of “Jai Shri Ram”.
He emphasised that Bhagwan Shri Ram shares a profound connection with Chhattisgarh. The state is the holy land of Mata Kaushalya and is considered the maternal home of Bhagwan Shri Ram, where he is worshipped in every household as a beloved nephew. He further stated that Bhagwan Shri Ram spent a significant part of his 14-year exile in the Dandakaranya region and the forests of Chhattisgarh, making his presence felt throughout this soil. Sacred sites such as Sita Rasoi continue to stand as living testimonies of this rich “spiritual and cultural heritage.”
The Chief Minister said it is a matter of great fortune that people are witnessing an era when Bhagwan Shri Ram has been re-established in Ayodhya. He added that the consecration of Shri Ram Lala has brought pride to India on the global stage, made possible through the firm resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
He further stated that the Prime Minister had promised to facilitate darshan of Shri Ram Lala for devotees from Chhattisgarh. In line with this vision, the state government launched the Shri Ram Lala Darshan Yojana soon after its formation, through which nearly 42,000 devotees have so far visited Ayodhya Dham.
Highlighting the deep-rooted devotion in the state, the Chief Minister said that Bhagwan Shri Ram resides in the hearts of people across India. In the Janjgir region, the Ramnami community embodies a unique form of devotion, in which followers inscribe ‘Ram-Ram’ on their bodies as a symbol of unwavering faith. He also mentioned that for the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, over 300 metric tonnes of fragrant rice and more than 100 tonnes of green vegetables were sent from Chhattisgarh as a special offering.
He added that medical teams from Chhattisgarh played a crucial role in providing healthcare services to devotees in Ayodhya, ensuring their well-being during the event.
The Chief Minister also stated that the state government has implemented the Freedom of Religion Act to prevent illegal religious conversions.
Municipal Council’s Vice Chairman Shri Yash Pratap Singh Judev, Smt. Sanyogita Singh Judev, Shri Sunil Gupta, Shri Upendra Yadav, Shri Sunil Agrawal, Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, SSP Dr Lal Umed Singh, and a large number of devotees were present.
