Kondagaon’s Yogita Mandavi Honoured with Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puruskar for Excellence in Judo

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Congratulates Yogita Mandavi for the Achievement

Raipur, December 26, 2025/ Yogita Mandavi, a talented young girl from Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh, has brought pride to the state and the nation through her outstanding achievements in the sport of judo. Raised at the Balika Grih operated by Chhattisgarh State Child Welfare Council in Kondagaon, Yogita has been conferred with the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puruskar(Prime Minister’s National Child Award) in recognition of her exceptional sporting accomplishments.

The award was presented to her by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Children from across the country were honoured at the event for their remarkable contributions in diverse fields such as sports, innovation, social service, arts and culture.

Notably, Yogita Mandavi demonstrated extraordinary talent in judo at a very young age. At just 13 years of age, she emerged as one of the finest judo players in the state. She has since continued her winning streak by securing medals in several national-level competitions, reflecting her dedication, discipline and unwavering determination.

Congratulating Yogita on her remarkable achievement, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended his heartfelt wishes for her bright future. He stated that the success of such talented children inspires the younger generation to pursue their dreams with confidence and perseverance. Yogita’s achievement, he said, is not only a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh but also a powerful source of inspiration for children living in child care institutions across the country.

Chief Minister Shri Sai further said that Yogita’s journey proves that it is not the limitations of circumstances but the strength of determination and hard work that truly define success.
