Bhopal, 6 December . Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the 5th edition of Khelo India Youth Games, to be held in eight cities of the state from January 30 to February 11, 2023, should be made memorable. This is also a special occasion for Madhya Pradesh, when a glimpse of the state’s culture can be seen with these sports events. The opening and closing ceremonies of the Khelo India Youth Games should be grand. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan received information about the preparations for organising the Khelo India Youth Games in the meeting. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Smt.Yashodhara Raje Scindia was present.
It is noteworthy that various sports activities will be held in Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat and Maheshwar along with the state capital Bhopal during the period from January 30 to February 11, 2023. More than 6 thousand players will participate in these events.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that responsibility should be given to various committees for systematically making accommodation, food, transport and other arrangements for the players. Performances of folk artists of Madhya Pradesh should also be presented at the opening and closing ceremonies of Khelo India Youth Games. Senior officers of the concerned departments including Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains were present.
