Bilaspur, 29 Oct. Under the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) organized a Walkathon today, on 29 October 2025. More than 100 officers and employees enthusiastically participated in the event, spreading the message of vigilance and integrity.
The walkathon was flagged off by SECL CMD Shri Harish Duhan, along with Director (Technical/Operations) Shri N. Franklin Jayakumar, Director (HR) Shri Biranchi Das, Director (Technical/Planning & Projects) Shri Ramesh Chandra Mahapatra, and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Himanshu Jain.
The rally commenced from the SECL Headquarters and concluded at Ravindra Bhawan, SECL Vasant Vihar. Throughout the route, participants raised slogans promoting vigilance awareness and conveyed a strong message against corruption with great enthusiasm and team spirit.
On this occasion, messages from Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble Vice President Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Minister of Coal and Mines Shri G. Kishan Reddy, and Central Vigilance Commissioner Shri Praveen Kumar Srivastava were read out.
CMD Shri Harish Duhan administered the Integrity Pledge to all participants. In his address, he emphasized that corruption is not only committing a wrong act but also failing to perform one’s duty sincerely and responsibly. He appreciated the Vigilance Department for organizing such an impactful event, adding that activities like this play a vital role in spreading vigilance awareness among the masses.
