DFA Raipur Clinches Title at Sub-Junior Inter-District State Football Championship Organized by NTPC Korba

Korba, August, 07. In a thrilling finale to the Sub-Junior Inter-District State Football Championship, DFA Raipur emerged as champions, displaying exceptional skill, teamwork, and discipline. DFA Narayanpur secured the Runner-up position, earning praise for their resilience and sportsmanship.

The final match, played in front of an enthusiastic crowd, marked the culmination of several closely contested games between four district teams—Raipur, Narayanpur, Durg, and Bastar. The energy and sportsmanship on the field stood as a testament to the immense talent of Chhattisgarh’s rural youth.
To celebrate and recognize the efforts of both teams, NTPC Korba’s CSR team presented appreciation gifts to the players. The moment was filled with joy and pride, further reinforcing the role of structured sports programs in empowering young athletes.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries including:
- Ms. Premlata, CHRO, NSPCL & RHOHR WR-II
- Shri S.N. Panigrahi, CGM (HR), Southern Region, NTPC
- Shri Rajeev Khanna, Executive Director, NTPC Korba
- Along with senior NTPC officials, members of the Sports Council, Chhattisgarh Football Association (CFA), CSR Team, and the HR Audit Team.
The tournament, organized at the NTPC Korba grounds from August 1, 2025, forms part of NTPC Korba’s flagship Football Coaching Camps for Women and Men under its CSR budget for FY 2025–26. The initiative follows a structured three-phase model:
- 7-day Inter-District Tournament – Selection of top players
- 21-day Coaching Camp – Training for 30 shortlisted players
- Final Selection – 15–18 players to represent the Chhattisgarh State Team
This championship victory marks a proud moment for DFA Raipur and continues NTPC Korba’s mission of driving inclusive development through sports, offering rural youth the opportunity to rise, compete, and succeed.
