Tarun hears the voice of Collector Dr. Siddiqui after receiving a hearing aid

Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, 31 March 2023. In the presence of Collector Dr. Fariha Alam Siddiqui, 5 differently-abled children were provided with hearing aids. Earlier, these children were unable to hear, and because of this, they had to face many practical difficulties in their daily lives. With the help of the hearing aid, they are now relieved from this issue. Now they will be able to hear other people and also talk to them. This change is a blessing in their lives. Tarun, a 13-year-old student from Baramkela, was provided with a hearing aid before Collector Dr. Siddiqui.
Tarun can neither hear nor talk. When a hearing aid was affixed to his ears, the Collector talked to him and asked him whether he could hear her now. Tarun smiled and answered her in the affirmative. Tarun’s smile reflected the happiness in his heart. He had experienced the joy of listening for the first time. Similarly, Timarlaga Sarangarh village resident Rohan Maurya (Age – 9 years), Pindri ‘D’ Sarangarh resident Rajveer Banjare (Age – 9 years), Gobarsingha Baramkela resident Kabir Sidar (Age – 4 years), and student of Primary School Baramkela, Soniya Sidar (Age – 9 years), were also provided with hearing aids.
The Social Welfare Department also provided the children with a total of 36 batteries along with the hearing aids. An officer of the department said that each battery can work for about 2 months. This device has to be protected from water. On this occasion, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. F.R. Nirala, District Program Manager Mr. N.L. Ijardar and the Deputy Director of the Social Welfare Department Dr. Vinay Kumar Tiwari were present.
